Designed by Pete Sans in 1979, the Lamparaprima originated from a concept as simple as it was ingenious: bending and twisting a wire clothes hanger. The resulting design features a minimal metal rod supporting an LED light source, encased in an adjustable visor-like shade. The fixture is designed to function as both a table lamp and a wall-mounted light. In 1985, it became the second product ever issued by the Spanish design company Santa & Cole. The updated version incorporates a 12V low-voltage system that enables the metallic frame itself to conduct electricity, allowing the user to turn the light on or off simply by rotating the shade. Combining reduced aesthetics with clever engineering, the design represents a balance between industrial utility and sculptural expression.
Includes orientable metal diffuser. The light is switched on/off by rotating the light source. Light source included: LED module.
Metallic structure, Transparent glass light source, table lamp or wall lamp
