How will Designcollectors ship my articles?

Designcollectors is an online store that delivers certain items, including tables, shelves, lighting, and large articles, unassembled. The assembly of these pieces is the responsibility of the customer, and the courier cannot be held liable for this. However, delivery with specific requirements, such as delivering to a specific floor or unpacking and removing packaging material, is possible. We are happy to provide a specific quote for these services.

What if my order is damaged when delivered?

Designcollectors handles your order with the greatest care (see also question 1). Should your design classics still arrive damaged, please contact Designcollectors' customer service. We will exchange your order as soon as possible.Please make sure that you report any damage to the packaging immediately and, if necessary, check/refuse while the courier is still present.

Within how many days will I have my design classics at home?

Designcollectors has a very extensive range of products in stock. These articles are delivered to the desired address within 1 to 4 working days or according to your wishes (DHL Express delivery). You can also collect your order yourself in one of our warehouses in Belgium (Veurne or Puurs). For articles that are not in stock, you will find the delivery time on the product page.

Is the shipping free of charge?

For orders from € 150 there are no charges for transport to 30 countries in Europe. Exception: For voluminous items and for transport to other countries or outside Europe, shipping is not free of charge. If you wish, you can easily request a calculation of the shipping cost (without being obliged to buy).For orders below € 150, the shipping charges depend on the destination. Where does Designcollectors deliver?

Designcollectors delivers to over 30 countries. We are able to ship to most countries on a DAP (Delivery At Place) basis. This means that the transport cost is included, but that all import and customs duties and local sales taxes are charged.

We are also able to ship to many other countries on a DDU basis (Delivery Duty Unpaid). This means the recipient will be liable for any local sales taxes or import duties which may be charged on the purchase.

How do I exchange or return items?

Have you changed your mind? Do you want to exchange or return something? You are entitled to return the item within 14 calendar days of receiving your order. Please note that returns are not free of charge, but at your own expense and you must arrange the shipping yourself.

Please note! Vitra Akari lamps are folded in a unique way. Once they are unpacked, they cannot be exchanged or returned.

Returning an item

1. Please fill in the return form stating your name, the order number, the item you wish to return, and the reason why you are returning it.
2. Please return the item in its original packaging to Designcollectors Veurne.
3. Upon receipt of your return, our warehouse team will perform a quality check. If your return is in order, you will receive a refund within 3 to 5 working days via the original payment method.

Can I have Outlet products shipped, or do they need to be picked up?

Outlet products can only be picked up at our locations in Veurne or Puurs. If you prefer to have the product shipped via DHL Express, all shipping costs will be at your expense. The same applies to any return shipping costs, which will also be your responsibility.

Payment

Can I pay my purchase on Designcollectors safely?

You can pay for your purchase on Designcollectors. in two safe ways: by credit card or via bank transfer. Designcollectors uses advanced technology to guarantee you a safe payment by credit card. After payment, your order is shipped immediately – if in stock. If you pay via bank transfer, your order will be shipped after the payment has been received, of which we will inform you.

I want to pay by credit card but the total exceeds the spending limit on my
credit card. What can I do?

If the total amount of your purchase exceeds the spending limit on your credit card, you can contact your bank and ask them to temporarily increase your spending limit.

Are my payment details truly secure?

Yes, absolutely. We work with BNP Paribas Fortis, one of the leading European suppliers of payment services. Orderinformation

Can I cancel my order on Designcollectors?

Opting for Designcollectors is opting for quality, originality and flexibility. Timeless designs enrich your life and contribute to the personal style of your interior.Should you still regret your purchase, then obviously, there are the legal conditions for online purchases that are valid at Designcollectors. Within 14 calendar days after receiving your order, you can send your article back to Designcollectors, Pannestraat 225 - 227, B-8630 Veurne, Belgium at your own cost, in the original packaging and accompanied by a copy of the invoice.

Akari Lamps

Due to the nature of Akari Lamps, we will not be able to accept returns unless the item is damaged or faulty when delivered to you. Please take care when unpacking your purchases and return them in the same condition you received them. Any returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted.

What charges do I need to cover if I return a purchased item from an export country, such as the UK?

When returning a purchased item from an export country, like the UK, kindly note that you will be responsible for all shipping and customs charges associated with the return.

Gift certificate / Loyalty discount

Can I get a discount on my purchases at Designcollectors?

You can already get a discount from your second purchase. With every order, you are given a loyalty discount that you can use with your next online purchase at Designcollectors.The higher the amount of your order, the higher your discount on your next purchase:

  • order up to € 2,500 = 5% discount
  • order between € 2,500 and € 10,000 = 10% discount
  • order between € 10,000 and € 20,000 = 15% discount

You can then deduct this discount from the total amount of your next purchase. The discount code, which you will have to enter with your next order, is included in the confirmation e-mail of your order. Make sure to keep your code, because it's worth money!

I received a gift certificate or promotion code. How do I use it?

It is very easy. Once you have made your selection at Designcollectors and filled your shopping basket, continue to the check-out. Before submitting your order, you simply enter your gift certificate or promotion code in the dedicated box.
