Pete Sans

Pete Sans describes himself as an industrial sculptor and furniture sketcher. Raised in Barcelona as the son of artist Jaume Sans, he transitioned from photography and graphic design to develop a radical, poetic, and essential vision for furniture and lighting. His work bridges the industrial and the sculptural, defined by formal honesty and utility as a mode of expression. Among his most celebrated designs are the Lamparaprima lamp (1979) and the Coqueta chair (1987, Gold Delta award). His personal archive and key creations are preserved in the permanent collection of the Design Museum of Barcelona (DHub).
