Gabriel Ordeig Cole

Gabriel Ordeig Cole was born in London to a Catalan father and an English mother. He relocated to Barcelona with his family in 1960. Initially studying Philosophy, he later pursued a BA at East Ham College and Cardiff Arts School in the UK.

After completing his education, Ordeig returned to Barcelona in 1978 and co-founded Free Difusión, a music promotion company. His involvement in designing concert sets began when he worked as an assistant decorator alongside Carles Riart on the film "Caniche." This collaboration ignited his passion for interior decoration and design. Together, Ordeig and Riart edited and produced the Colilla lamp while working at Comercial Estelar.

Ordeig undertook several interior design projects, including the offices of Group Films and lighting projects in various bars and nightclubs in Barcelona. He also contributed to the lighting design of renowned restaurants like Al Dente and Fonda Europa, where he created the Fonda lamp and the Fonda System in 1994. Additionally, his designs extended to the Bijou cocktail bar and the Sísísí bar, which served as inspiration for the Sísísí rosette pendant lamp produced by Santa & Cole.
