Iittala represents timeless design, high quality, and functionality. The designs are made to be used day in and day out for generations.

The company’s history began in 1881 as a glass factory in the Finnish village of Iittala. The breakthrough came with modernism and functionalism in the 1930s and 1940s. Collaborations with design pioneers like Alvar and Aino Aalto, Kaj Franck and Tapio Wirkkala have helped shape Iittala’s design philosophy. The basic principle is that good design should not only be well thought-out and functional, but also available to all. Iittala developed into an internationally renowned brand that defined a Scandinavian lifestyle.

You will find a wide choice of Iittala products at Designcollectors, such as vases by Alvar Aalto in various designs, the Ultima Thule collection by Tapio Wirkkala, and Kastehelmi glassware by Oiva Toikka. Most of the items are still made in the Iittala glass factory today.
