De pp201 First Chair, een herziening van de oude Chinese stoel, combineert de esthetiek van de pp701 Minimal Chair met de constructie van de pp66 Chinese stoel en creëert zo een nieuwe expressie, waarbij het strikt geometrisch gedefinieerde frame alleen het meest voorzichtige gebruik van die organische vormen ondersteunt die zo kenmerkend zijn voor Wegners werk in de jaren 1950.
