De Fins-Amerikaanse ontwerper Eero Saarinen ontwierp in 1957 de Tulip Chair, een eettafelstoel met één poot. Zo wilde hij rust brengen in “de onrustige wereld onder tafel”. Het pure ontwerp werd zo bekend en geliefd dat je het zonder meer iconisch mag noemen. Dit draaibare model van de Tulip Chair is bij Designcollectors ook verkrijgbaar in een versie met armleuning. Uitgevoerd in zeer duurzame materialen. Zo is het onderstel gemaakt van gegoten aluminium met Rilsan-coating. De kuip voor de zitting is van gegoten glasvezel versterkt met kunststof.
