Georg Jensen Damask
Royal Craftsmanship
Georg Jensen Damask is proudly recognized as a Royal Supplier to the Danish Royal Family. This prestigious title was officially awarded to the company in 2000, acknowledging years of collaboration and the exceptional quality of the products it provides. The partnership began back in 1952, when Queen Ingrid placed the first order for a damask tablecloth from Georg Jensen Damask. This marked the beginning of a longstanding relationship between the brand and the Danish monarchy.

Being named a Royal Supplier is an immense honor, and Georg Jensen Damask has contributed to Denmark’s rich cultural heritage over the years. The company has created iconic pieces for significant royal occasions, such as the legendary Kronedugen tablecloth woven in 1992 for Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik’s silver wedding anniversary. Additionally, Queen Margrethe II herself designed the monogram for the tablecloth used at the wedding of the Crown Prince couple in 2004.
This title of Royal Supplier not only reflects Georg Jensen Damask’s craftsmanship and dedication but also highlights the longstanding and prestigious connection with the Royal Family. The products from Georg Jensen Damask, from iconic tablecloths to decorative fabrics for palaces and royal events, have become synonymous with refinement and the highest level of Danish design.
