Designer
Charles & Ray Eames in 1946
If you are looking for a chair to lounge in with style, make sure to check out this Eames Plywood Group LCW. Designers Charles and Ray Eames experimented for years with multiplex in order to make rigid materials adapt to the shape of the body. A remarkable result in this search was the Plywood Chairs, which were first introduced in 1946 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The LCW (Lounge Chair Wood) combines wooden shells made from moulded plywood for the seat, the back and the base. You have a choice of soft natural, sober black or fiery stained red. For additional seating comfort, the seat and the back are attached to the base with rubber rings. LCW = Lounge Chair Wood.
