Matching footstool for the S 35 L Chair, presented in 1930 at the Paris Grand Palais as a contribution by the Deutscher Werkbund. Together with Walter Gropius and Herbert Bayer, Marcel Breuer organized this premiere of contemporary German furniture production in France. With the S 35 L Chair, he succeeded in integrating all of the functions of a tubular steel cantilever chair with the construction of a single uninterrupted line.
The frame of the S 35 LH Hocker is of chrome-plated tubular steel. Covered with black full-grain butt leather or brown buffalo hide.
