The 601 Oberman armchair, designed by Jan des Bouvrie, is named after Koene Oberman, the founder of Gelderland. This chair is a modern reinterpretation of the original from 1971, where Oberman himself used to take his afternoon naps. With its charming design and exceptional comfort, the armchair fits seamlessly into both modern and classic interiors.
All furniture in the Gelderland collection is entirely made in the Netherlands, handcrafted in the factory in Culemborg. Gelderland provides a 20-year warranty on the beechwood frame and a 7-year warranty on upholstery fabrics, leather, and foam. Additionally, the unique strip upholstery allows for the reupholstering of Gelderland furniture, ensuring longevity for generations.
