Christophe Gevers

Born in 1928, this self-taught craftsman distinguishes himself through the use of raw materials that become more and more beautiful with time. With this particular brilliance, characteristic of his work, he has been the designer for several interiors in Brussels, both public and private, for almost 30 years. Ranging from the Taverne des Beaux-Arts (1958) to the Quick at the Porte de Namur (1984) via Vieux Saint-Martin (1968), Christophe Gevers has a bold look that is still relevant today. At the beginning of the Golden Sixties, the TBA Chair, awarded the Signe d'Or in 1959, marks the entry of Christophe Gevers into the world of design and interior design. As the person responsible for the "Mobilier et Agencement" course at l'Ecole de La Cambre, he shared his expertise there from 1960 to 1993.
