Eileen Gray in 1935
You enjoy ease and convenience in Eileen Gray's Bonaparte Lounge Chair, that successfully unites the luxurious comfort of an upholstered chair with a tubular steel construction. Actually conceived as a piece for drawing rooms, designer Eileen Gray found Bonaparte so pleasant that she used it for decades as her desk chair in her Paris home at Rue Bonaparte. The frame of the Bonaparte Chair is of chromium-plated steel tubing. The seat has a beech frame with rubber webbing. Upholstery of polyurethane with quilting cotton. Cover in fabric or leather.
