Designer
Eileen Gray in 1927
For her modernist holiday home in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin (Côte d’Azur, France), the Irish designer and architect Eileen Gray designed a very comfortable chair with a deep seating area, finished in leather. And thus the Roquebrune Chair, another design classic from the 30's, was born. Frame of chromium-plated or black powder-coated steel tubing. Seat and back in bend leather, laced.
