Crafted to honor Artek's 90th anniversary, the limited-edition Aalto Stool 60 Kivet brings together two titans of Finnish design: the timeless form of Alvar Aalto and the bold patterns of Maija Isola.
First introduced in 1933, Aalto's revolutionary L-leg structure set a new standard for modern Scandinavian design. For this special anniversary edition, the stool's seat is adorned with Isola's classic Kivet pattern from her Arkkitehti (Finnish for "architect") series.
Produced in Turku, Finland, the stool is made from Finnish birch veneer using a unique, zero-waste intarsia technique. The alternating grain of the wood creates a subtle, shifting pattern that changes with the light, a fitting and understated tribute to Artek’s legacy. This special collaboration with Marimekko is only available for a limited time in 2025.
