Anna Calvera (1955-2018) was a distinguished thinker and researcher specializing in graphic design. After earning a degree in graphic design, she obtained her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Barcelona. She went on to teach at the University of Barcelona and prestigious design schools such as Elisava, Massana, and Eina.
Calvera is also remembered for her significant institutional contributions. She managed projects, organized conferences, and supported various key entities and initiatives. She was a member of ADG/FAD and ADP, the Design History Society, and was a founding member of both the History of Art & Contemporary Design Research Group (GRACMON) at the UB and the Design History Foundation.
