Sebastian Herkner's Bell Side Table turns the world upside down by using the light, fragile material 'glass' as the base for a metal top that appears to float above it. The hand-blown glass base, traditionally made in a wooden mould, contrasts with the solid copper frame, but at the same time forms a harmonious whole with it. Its shape is reminiscent of the elegantly curved silhouette of a bell. The Bell Side Table is a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship. Each table is handmade and has characteristic features such as irregularities in the glass thickness, small bubbles or unevenness in the glass. This version has a base in Montana Blue and the top is crafted in black glass.
