Designed by Eileen Gray in 1926
Like the majority of Eileen Gray‘s tables, the Lou Perou Table too can transform itself. Part of the tabletop can be lifted up to extend the table. This folding section of the tabletop is supported by a single leg out of chromium- plated steel tubing – a conscious break in the otherwise perfect symmetry of the table. The graceful table is named after Eileen Gray‘s last home, Lou Perou, which she built at the age of 76 above St. Tropez. The name itself is in memory of a trip to Peru in the year 1929. The Lou Perou Table has a frame of chromium-plated steel tubing. Tabletop made of MDF high-gloss lacquer finish, available at Designcollectors in black and white.
