The EM Table (Entretroise Métallique) was developed by Jean Prouvé in the early 1950s for the Maison Tropique project. The iconic design illustrates the force path and the static connections in a way that is otherwise only featured in engineering construction. Prouvé’s wooden EM Table is available with table tops in solid wood or robust veneer with protective varnish. There is also a version with HPL tabletop to match the Standard SP chair.
