Designed by Jean Prouvé in 1941
Table Solvay is the result of one of the many design projects realised by Jean Prouvé for the chemical company Solvay. The wooden table is a prime example of Prouvé’s creations, with details reflecting the necessities of statics and the force path. Table Solvay was created during World War II and due to a metal shortage the table legs were made of wood. The solid warm woods give the design of Table Solvay a homely feel. The oiled table-top and matching base are available in natural oak, smoked oak or American walnut.
