Charles and Ray Eames presented the designs of the Plastic Chair group at the "Low Cost Furniture Design" competition held by the museum of modern Art in new York. in 1950, they were the first industrially manufactured plastic chairs to be brought to market. With or without padding, the organically moulded shells offer a high level of comfort. The fabric cover colours and the seat shells can be mixed and matched with each other. Several bases offer a wide range of combination possibilities. DSX (= Dining Height Side Chair X-Base) - base/stackability: non-stackable four-legged tubular steel base. - optional: The Eames Plastic Side Chair swivel chair design is suitable for stacking and comes with linking connectors if required. With a crossbar it can be used in waiting areas. - note: Special additives slow down the fading process caused by ultraviolet rays. However, leaving the chair exposed to the sun for an extended period of time can result in colour changes. We recommend not leaving the chair in the sun for longer than is necessary.
